Modern Healthcare Selects MedAssets as Recipient for Community Leadership Award

CEO's leadership in charitable outreach empowers MedAssets employees to help others

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MedAssets (NAS: MDAS) today announced that Modern Healthcare has selected the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer, John Bardis, as the recipient of the first annual Community Leadership Award. The award honors top healthcare executives for charitable outreach work either performed individually or through their organizations to improve the health and well being of people, patients, communities and community members.

"I am humbled and honored to accept this award on behalf of the thousands of MedAssets employees who make it a daily habit to help others," said John Bardis, MedAssets. "Corporate charitable giving is engrained within our company culture, directly aligns with the sacred healthcare mission of our clients, and reflects our strong belief that everyone is entitled to treatment that is dignified and loving. This recognition also reflects the immense power of the thousands of healthcare supplier organizations with whom we share a common belief that corporate America has a civic responsibility to give back and lend a hand to those less fortunate in a time of need."

Productive Culture that Inspires Employees
