It's on! Freescale's Fourth Annual Smart Device Pundit Contest Kicks Off

Nominate your favorite pundits through March 1; winners announced March 18

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Freescale Semiconductor (NYS: FSL) is calling for nominations for its fourth annual Smart Device Pundit contest. From Feb. 18 to March 1, 2013, participants can nominate their favorite front-line informants - media, analysts and bloggers - whose coverage of smart devices and the Internet of Things stands out due to its ability to capture the deep impact that connected machines, devices and appliances are having on consumers and society.


The nomination period closes on March 1 and voting to pick the top five 2013 top Smart Device Pundits will begin March 4. Winners will be announced March 18.

The list returns for 2013: Now in its fourth consecutive year, Freescale's 2013 Smart Device Pundit contest will recognize the hard work of industry informants whose coverage helps us stay connected with all things connected. The resulting list of top 20 pundits is meant to serve as a "who's who" of those reporting on the Internet of Things and the vast array of connected devices that make our world smarter, giving consumers, suppliers and manufacturers sources to turn to when they are seeking the latest industry news. Freescale is asking readers to help recognize those key contributors who help them navigate the ever evolving connected landscape and report on the new technologies that power today's intelligent innovations - from automobiles and appliances to smart devices and home healthcare solutions.

Who's No. 1 on your must-read list?Nominate today: Freescale wants to hear from everyone: consumers, gadget geeks and industry veterans alike. To assist in the nomination process, below is a list of previous winners and key pundits Freescale has been following. You can select one or more candidates from this list or nominate your own. The first time you nominate a pundit, you will be automatically entered in a drawing for a Kindle. (See drawing rules).

How to nominate a pundit: From now through March 1, visit the Smart Device Pundit 2013 homepage and simply share your pundit's name with a link to a great article, video, blog post, Twitter feed or industry report that shows why your nominee should make the list of 2013 Smart Device Pundits. Click "submit," and your pundit will be in the running!
