Verint Customer CredAbility Named a 2013 Computerworld Honors Laureate

Organization's Intelligence Case Management (iCM) Initiative Highlights Groundbreaking Use of Technology to Drive Economic Progress and Positive Social Change

Credit Counseling Agency Acknowledged for Implementation and Business Results Derived from Verint Workforce Optimization Software

MELVILLE, N.Y. & ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Verint® Systems Inc. (NAS: VRNT) today announced that customer CredAbility has been recognized for its groundbreaking efforts in applying information technology to drive economic progress and encourage positive social change. IDG's Computerworld Honors Program—which recognizes and documents visionary applications of IT moving businesses forward and benefiting society—selected its "Laureate" recipients for 2013 across 11 categories. CredAbility, a national nonprofit credit counseling agency, is being honored in the Human Services category.

"Technology continues to play a pivotal role in transforming how business and society functions. For the past 25 years, the Computerworld Honors Program has had the privilege of celebrating innovative IT achievements," says John Amato, vice president and publisher, Computerworld. "Computerworld is honored to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the 2013 class of Laureates and to share their work. These initiatives demonstrate how IT can advance organizations' ability to compete, innovate, communicate and prosper."

Since 1964, CredAbility has been helping people in financial distress move from crisis to control by providing compassionate service with innovative, yet practical solutions. CredAbility provides counseling and education 24/7, in both English and Spanish, online and by telephone. To help support its Intelligent Case Management (iCM) initiative, the organization implemented Verint's workforce optimization (WFO) solutions including call recording, workforce management and performance management software. Due to the economic climate in 2009, the organization experienced nearly double the volume of communications from clients. To support its focus on the customer experience, CredAbility launched its iCM initiative to enhance the agency's ability to better assist clients long-term and to improve associate productivity.

Using Verint WFO solutions, CredAbility gained new levels of visibility into its clients' experiences. They have contributed to the organization's ability to continually advance the efficiency and effectiveness of its staff through high-quality interactions, accurately forecast and schedule associate availability to meet client needs, and more routinely track and manage adherence.

"CredAbility is extremely honored to be recognized as a Computerworld Honors Laureate for our iCM initiative," says Dan Brown, Chief Information Officer, CredAbility. "Given the sensitive nature of the calls we receive from clients, it was critical that we implement a program backed by supporting technology that furthered our productivity across our frontline team. Verint's solutions allow us to meet demand and our own contact center goals, while responding quickly and compassionately to clients. By introducing such methods into our environment, we have been able to help more clients overcome their financial struggles and move toward financial stability."

"Customer success is at the heart of our business and key to how we measure our own success, so third-party industry recognition—like the CredAbility honor from IDG—is extremely gratifying," adds Nancy Treaster, senior vice president and general manager, strategic operations, Verint Enterprise Intelligence Solutions.

The Computerworld Honors Program awards will be presented during the Annual Laureate Medal Ceremony and Gala Awards Evening on June 3, 2013 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
