Viggle Grows Technology Team

Introducing a new CTO, multiple hires, and thought leadership initiative Viggle LABS

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Viggle (Symbol: VGGL), a free, cutting-edge mobile app that operates an intelligent "second screen" for television, has today announced the strengthening of its technology leadership team with the addition of Christopher Traynor as Chief Technology Officer and other key hires.

An accomplished senior information technology leader with more than 20 years of experience in managing software architecture, organizational growth, and product development, Mr. Traynor brings extensive expertise with agile software development methodologies, vendor relationship management, and strategic technology planning to the position.

Previously, Mr. Traynor was Chief Architect/CTO Group for IPC, Inc., where he played key roles in the evolution of such companies as CNet, Vignette, and NBCi. Mr. Traynor's career focus has been on large-scale, distributed architectures and he specializes in Internet-related development.

"It's exciting to be a part of the team that's responsible for the continuing evolution of the very notion of second screen through the Viggle app," said Mr. Traynor.

In this role, Mr. Traynor will be creating Viggle LABS, a second-screen thought leadership initiative within Viggle. Viggle LABS will oversee the recently announced AppJam Challenge (appjam.viggle.com), a competition to create TV companion apps for the Viggle platform. In addition to adding Mr. Traynor as CTO, Viggle has filled multiple engineering roles and continues to build an expert team with an aggressive recruitment plan.

"As Viggle approaches the three-million registered user mark, we are scaling our engineering talent to continue our growth," said Greg Consiglio, President and COO of Viggle. "We expect to dramatically enhance the consumer value proposition and what the Viggle brand stands for over the coming months. The addition of Chris and others is exactly what we needed to help achieve our vision."
