Pioneering Application for InvenSense's®6-Axis MotionTracking™SoC in "Intelligent Headset™" from GN Store Nord
MPU-6500 enables Head Tracking for Contextual Awareness and Audio Augmented Reality Applications
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- InvenSense, Inc. (NYS: INVN) , the leading provider of MotionTracking™ devices, announced that its MPU-6500 MotionTracking SoC is selected for the "Intelligent Headset™", designed by GN Store Nord to enable hands-free information access and augmented reality in an audio headset. GN Store Nord is a global producer of hearing aids, innovative headsets and speakerphone solutions. The Intelligent Headset uses the MPU-6500's integrated gyroscope and accelerometer to precisely track head movement, enhance the user experience with dynamic 3D audio and provide direction based on the head's position. Initially launched to the developer community, the Intelligent Headset will be supported by both InvenSense's MotionApps SDK and GN Nord's application programming interface development tools accessing the headset's integrated motion sensors, GPS and 3D audio.
