Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to get hitched ... on screen

Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally getting married ... on screen, at least.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pitt and Jolie will reunite onscreen for the first time since the 2005 film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," where they both met, in "By The Sea." Jolie wrote and will also direct in the film. In the flick, the famously unmarried couple will be playing a married couple. Besides that, plot details are being kept under wraps.

Jolie told Extra, "It's not a big movie, it's not an action movie. It's the kind of movie we love but aren't often cast in. It's a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things."

Pitt and Jolie got engaged back in 2012 and have six children together. "By The Sea" is expected to hit theaters some time in 2016.
