Miss America broadcast misspells Jane Austen and other talked-about moments from the pageant broadcast
BY AOL ENTERTAINMENT
New York's Kira Kazantsev was crowned Miss America on Sunday -- becoming the third Miss New York in a row to win the title, a three-peat Kazantsev said would be 'monumental' before her win.
But a typo that flashed on screen during her 'Pitch Perfect'-inspired performance is getting more attention than the performance itself.
In a bid to reveal that Kazantsev loved 'anything Jane Austen,' broadcasters unintentionally informed the audience that she loved 'anything Jane Austin.'
In my opinion we should be more appalled that "Jane Austen" is misspelled 🙈🙅 pic.twitter.com/Lguh6ZzEFY

It was one of the many fun facts featured on screen during the contestants' talent displays.
As expected, Twitter is aflutter over the slip-up.
But that wasn't the show's only controversial moment.
Listen to the interview question judge Kathy Ireland asked Miss Florida.
'We were all rocked by the video of football star Ray Rice punching his wife Janay. She's standing by him. As a woman, what do you think of her decision?'
Miss Florida said she did not agree with Janay's decision.
But viewers were more interested in the question than Janay's answer saying the question was phrased in a way that blamed women for domestic violence.
As a writer for Mic put it, 'Shaming Janay for her decision does nothing to tackle the issue of domestic violence or examine the systemic problems and inequalities that have allowed it to fester.'
Other contestants got controversial questions Sunday night too. One was asked how terrorist group ISIS should be dealt with.
The contestants had 20 seconds to answer.
The irony of the golden conch shells the questions were being gently pulled from was not lost on viewers either.
