Apple's iPhone 6 survived its first drop test... or accidental drop test.

Australia's 'Today' show was there to interview Apple customer Jack Cooksey, one of the first people in the world to walk out with the highly anticipated new smart phone. But apparently the camera made him a bit nervous and he dropped it right on the hard concrete sidewalk.

Luckily the phone's ion-strengthened glass was still covered in plastic and was completely fine, otherwise he would have waited all night in line in vain. But we now know that the new iPhone really can survive a fall.
