Kris Jenner officially files for divorce from Bruce after 23 years of marriage

Updated

Almost a year after announcing their separation, Kris and Bruce Jenner are officially divorcing, according to court papers obtained by ET.

Kris, 58, and Bruce, 64, began living separately last year after 22 years of marriage. This was the second marriage for both of them. Kris finalized her split from Robert Kardashian Sr. just one month before marrying Bruce in 1991 while Bruce's first marriage to Linda Thompson ended in 1984.

Citing irreconcilable differences, the Kardashian matriarch filed the papers today and then jetted out of L.A. with a giant smile on her face.

The couple has two children together (Kendall and Kylie) and have been featured in a slew of reality shows.

In November 2013, Kris spoke to ET special correspondent Cheryl Woodcock about leaving the door open for her to start a new relationship in the near future, saying, "I guess I'll know when it happens ... I've learned not to plan anything anymore."

"You find who you fall in love with in life," she said of potentially dating a younger man. "If they happen to be a certain age, they happen to be a certain age."

Even after their separation, the couple has remained on good terms. Kris posted this photo in honor of their 23rd wedding anniversary with the caption: "Happy Anniversary to one of the most amazing men I know!!!! I love you, Wow 23 years!!!!! #love #weareofficiallyvintage."
