Elton John, David Furnish invite fans to wedding via Instagram

Sir Elton John and long-time partner David Furnish finally tied the knot after exactly nine years after they entered into a civil partnership.

And while the ceremony in London was attended by friends, family and numerous celebs, fans were also invited ... via Instagram.

The couple posted photos of the event using the hashtag #ShareTheLove - and their first post? An invite to the wedding.

It was a small and almost private ceremony at their Windsor home on Sunday. Their two sons acted as ring bearers and Zachary even got in on the photo action and took a pic of his brother Elijah.

The couple has been together for more than 20 years and became one of the first to form a civil partnership in 2005. Same-sex marriage became legal in England in March and earlier this year, Furnish hinted there would be a May wedding but it looks like they were too eager to wait that long.

We're just happy we got an invite!
