Gabe Polsky's live AOL interview about 'Red Army'

Updated

We all know there are winners and losers, but in Gabe Polsky's new documentary, "Red Army," those lines might be a little more blurred.

Polsky dives into the plight of the Soviet Union's famed Red Army hockey team through the eyes of its captain, Slava Fetisov.

Following the Soviet's loss to the U.S. hockey team at the 1980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, in a match-up that would later be called "the miracle on ice" and have a Disney movie made about it, the Soviet team was plagued by shame and embarrassment in their home country. The game, which took place at the height of The Cold War, was revered as a monumental turning pointy in an icy political climate, but as Polsky reveals in his film, it was also just a hockey game played by some of the world's best players.
