Suburban man wins massive Illinois Lottery prize; largest in history
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WGN) - A west suburban man has claimed the largest prize in Illinois Lottery history.
The Naperville resident won $265 million dollars on a Mega Millions ticket.
He spent $5 on a Quick Pick ticket and it matched all six numbers during the January 16th drawing.
Lottery officials say they plan to present him with a ceremonial oversized check to commemorate the win.
The public will learn more about him, including his name, when he is presented with the check tomorrow.
