Kody Brown reveals why he almost quit 'Sister Wives'

Updated

A shocking confession from "Sister Wives" star Kody Brown during Sunday night's tell-all special.

"So, on days like that, the whole PMS / Kengate, do you want to throw in the towel and say, 'No more cameras in my family's life?'" asked Tamron Hall on "Sister Wives: Tell All."

"Yeah, I literally started talking to the family the week after that aired. I started talking about, 'How can we get out of this show?'" said Kody Brown.

"Were you serious about that?" asked Tamron.

"I was dead serious," said Kody.

You heard right. After living his life on reality TV since 2010, Kody had almost reached his breaking point with the show earlier this season.

And it was all because of that now infamous on-air argument he had with his third wife, Christine, during which he said PMS made his wives "insane."

Of course, Kody dealt with some serious backlash after that comment.

And while reflecting on the incident during Sunday night's special, he apologized for his behavior. "I'm sorry that I didn't understand it well enough. And I'm sorry that it becomes a very offensive and polarizing thing."

But Kody's confession makes us wonder - what will be the final breaking point for the "Sister Wives?"

Well, we do know the show will be back for another season. But according to The Wrap, we'll have to wait a while - the outlet reports season six is set to premiere in fall 2015.
