Donald Robertson shares why the fashion world is totally nuts

Updated

Donald Robertson is the creative force behind the re-designs of magazines like Glamour and ad campaigns for global beauty brands, but it's his Instagram page and the fashion-inspired portraits he posts daily that have launched comparisons to Andy Warhol.

Robertson's latest book, "Fashion is Nuts," features a collection of his beloved photos -- all of which feature fashion icons created out of a very special medium: walnuts (see our favorites below!).

The artist recently told the New York Post his pick for the biggest nut in fashion: "Anna Wintour is the alpha nut that gives the ultimate nod to all things nutty and stylish," he said.

He joins Ariel Foxman of InStyle magazine to talk about art and social media. Catch the AOL BUILD interview live at 3 p.m. EST in the video above.
