"Seinfeld" actor Daniel Von Bargen died Sunday. He was 64 years old. A friend and fellow actor said it was after a long illness.

IMDb listed his death due to complications from diabetes.

He was perhaps best known for playing Mr. Kruger, George Costanza's boss, on the sitcom "Seinfeld."

Von Bargen was also known for playing Commandant Edwin Spangler on FOX's "Malcolm in the Middle" as well as his roles in "NYPD Blue," "Super Troopers" and "Law & Order."

Unfortunately in 2012, his name made headlines for an apparent suicide attempt.

Von Bargen told the 911 operator he was supposed to have an operation that day to amputate a few toes as a result of his diabetes.

The actor's burial will be private.
