Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge was christened today, July 5th, on the queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Little Charlotte was celebrated by her closest family members, namely Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, as well as Kate's family Carole, Michael, James and Pippa Middleton. Prince Harry unfortunately wasn't able to attend, as he's on a scheduled trip to Africa.

Also in attendance at the private ceremony were Charlotte's five godparents. William and Kate just released the names of the five they've chosen: Princess Diana's niece, Laura Fellowes, Kate's cousin Adam Middleton, and three friends of the couple, Thomas van Straubenzee, Sophie Carter and James Meade.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made the walk from Sandringham house to the small church with their two children this afternoon -- marking the first time the Cambridges have been seen in public as a family of four:

Following the ceremony, the royal couple have chosen famed photographer Mario Testino to take Charlotte's official christening portraits with her extended family. We've seen several members of the Windsor and Middleton families arrive, wearing varying shades of pastels. It will be a lovely photo.

Kate was dressed in a bespoke cream Alexander McQueen coatdress and matching hat by milliner Jane Taylor. Prince George wore Rachel Riley, a red and white outfit that is extremely similar to what Prince William wore when he met his little brother Harry for the first time 30 years ago.

The public was invited to gather along the walk to Sandringham's St. Mary Magdalene's church for today's services, and despite quite a bit of rain, many gathered to show their support for the little princess.
