How to Make a Breakfast Sandwich

Making a breakfast sandwich looks so simple in the video above, right?

For many, eating out is a luxury. Whether it is a simple breakfast sandwich, or five course meal, it allows people to maybe order something they wouldn't usually make at home, or even reduces the chaos of cooking for themselves. Whatever the reason, it is nice to grab a bite out; however, for one airport patron, this wasn't the case.

Spambox, a Reddit user, took to the popular social site to share his image of his highly disappointing sandwich. While grabbing a bite to eat at Scotland's Edinburgh Airport, Spambox was simply hoping for a bacon and egg sandwich. Seems simple enough, right? Wrong.

Spambox snapped a shot of his utterly disappointing airport creation and uploaded it to Reddit with the caption: "This is what a £3.20 bacon and egg role from Edinburgh airport looks like." Needless to say, that is about $4.98.

The best part of the story? He mentions in the Reddit post that the staff at the popular restaurant, EAT, said to take a seat and they would bring it over. As if this sad creation was a labor of love.

Someone eventually posted the photo to Twitter for which users sounded off on the sad, sad, sandwich.

A spokesperson for the airport told The Scotsman said: "We work closely with all of our food and beverage providers to ensure we offer customers the best choice of refreshments and service. Sadly on this occasion we fell below the mark and offer our apologies to this customer. Clearly this is not the service we should be providing and we will be addressing this complaint with EAT."

Below the mark? We think so.

That clearly wasn't an Instagram worthy food snap, so take a peak at some of the best Instagram accounts for food below. You could thank us later.
