Little Big Town has canceled more dates of their Pain Killer tour spanning over three weeks in order to give band member Jimmy Westbrook time to recover from surgery.

Westbrook had surgery in late June to remove a polyp on his vocal cords, but according to his doctor, he has not had enough time to recover. The band originally canceled or postponed all shows through July 30 but now will resume their tour on Aug. 22 in Avondale, Canada.

"We have missed you, and as you can see Jimmy is still not talking," Phillip Sweet said in a video posted on the band's Facebook page. As he spoke he pointed to Westbrook, who had tape over his mouth and wore an iPad connected to suspenders around his neck in order to communicate. "He just got back from the doctor and he just needs a little bit more time to heal up, so he'll be 100% and back on the road. We'll be back real soon."

The country group started their tour in November, but decided to extend the tour after releasing their hit single, "Girl Crush" and seeing major success on the charts. "Girl Crush" peaked on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart at No. 1 for 13 weeks and charted at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
