Man in wheelchair celebrates his birthday with seemingly impossible act

PENROSE, Colo. (KDVR) -- Joe Akmajian thought of a daring way to celebrate what the odds said wasn't possible: He jumped out of a plane.

The 23-year-old, who has a form of muscular dystrophy, went sky diving in the skies over Penrose, outside of Colorado Springs.

Akmajian says he made the move to raise awareness about muscle disease and celebrate that he has already exceeded life expectancy.
