Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend paid tribute to her by hitting the beach, Nick Gordon's mother says
For Nick Gordon, honoring his deceased girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown is a day at the beach.
Gordon was prohibited from last weekend's services for Brown, who died July 26 at age 22 after fighting for her life for six months — choosing to instead pay tribute by hitting Daytona Beach, his mother told People.
"Nick went to the beach with me on Friday during the services," Michelle Gordon said. "He said the beach was always their favorite place to go, so he decided that he would honor her at a place that they both loved."

Brown's viewing took place on Friday, while her funeral service occurred Saturday in Georgia. The ill-fated daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston was laid to rest alongside her mother in New Jersey on Monday.
Brown had been clinging to life since she was found face-down and unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31.
In an 11th hour-bid to attend the services, Gordon sent an email to Bobby Brown and Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt, Pat Houston, begging for entry.

"I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye," Brown wrote. "I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there. Please consider this?"
Gordon is being sued for $10 million by Brown's court-appointed conservator, who claims that Gordon was physically abusive toward her and made unauthorized transfers of Brown's funds to accounts under his control.
