A new poll out of Iowa shows the Democratic race is tightening up as Clinton's supporters are slipping.

According to the Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa poll, Bernie Sanders is now polling just seven points behind Clinton. That's her smallest lead in the state this election cycle.

Her support has fallen 20 points since May, putting her below 50 percent for the first time.

Sanders is picking up support from the people who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 when he defeated Clinton in Iowa.

Trump, meanwhile, has seen a surge in support and popularity since May. Back then, he was polling at just 4 percent support and his favorability was at -36 points; now, he leads the pack with 23 percent support and a favorability of +26 points.

We're just five months from caucus day and Vice President Joe Biden is the wildcard but gaining support. Still undecided on a run, he's polling at 14 percent.
