A recent sighting of a historic urban legend has some in New Jersey locking their deadbolts and closing their blinds.

For at least a century there have been thousands of reported sightings of a legendary creature known as the New Jersey Devil.

Said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, according to NJ.COM there's been a recent sighting near Atlantic City.

Dave Black of was driving home from work when he saw what he thought was a llama running in and out of the trees lining the road.

"If that wasn't enough, then it spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course," Black told NJ.com.

Black snapped this photo of the creature and told NJ.com he was looking for someone to make sense what he saw.

Reporters at the New Jersey publication later received this video of a supposed sighting.
