Willow Smith's hair-whipping days may be behind her, but the 15-year-old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett is almost ready to deliver her next project.

After wrapping her set at Odd Future's annual Camp Flog Gnaw carnival, the bubbly songstress sat down with DJ Skee to discuss channeling punk girl bands like Girl Riot and Bikini Kill onstage to cutting her LP down.

"I originally had 26 songs for the album. Then I looked at it and I said, 'You know, nowadays the kids have a short attention span, so I think I should go in the teen area.' So I cut it down to 14 [songs]," said Willow. "I usually don't plan when I'm going to do certain things, so it's taking longer than I expected. But it's coming. It's done."

The short-and-sweet sit-down wouldn't have been complete without a dose of wisdom from Willow. When asked what she'd want her legacy to look like decades from now, she said, "I don't want to put out a thing that I want the world to see me as because it's like everyone's gonna see me as what they want to see me, and everyone's just a projection in a mirror ... I don't want to put a label on myself."

Willow's upcoming album would mark the follow-up to 2014's 3 EP, which hosted the SZA collaboration "9."
