The first votes in the 2016 election have been cast in New Hampshire, and as some polling places across the state close at 7 p.m. ET we'll begin to see how the race is taking shape. All polling places across the state will be closed by 8 p.m. ET.

Three small towns in New Hampshire voted at midnight. In Dixville Notch and Hart's Location John Kasich won among Republican candidates and Bernie Sanders won among Democrats. In the third town of Millsfield, Ted Cruz cleaned up on the Republican side and Clinton beat Sanders two votes to one.
