Report: Omarosa may have secretly recorded private meetings in the White House

Former Trump adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman might have secretly taped private conversations in the White House out of fear for special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, The New York Daily News reported Friday.

Sources told the publication that Manigault Newman, whose official last day at the White House is Saturday, “loves” to record meetings.

“Everyone knows Omarosa loves to record people and meetings using the voice notes app on her iPhone,” one source told the outlet. “Don’t be surprised if she has secret audio files on everyone in that White House, past and present staffers included.”

The source went on to say that the administration's recent ban on staffers having their personal phones was allegedly tied to her habit of recording meetings.

The former reality TV star also has reportedly been seeking meetings with lawyers amid speculation that she is concerned about being entangled in Mueller's probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The news follows reports of Manigault Newman's "dramatic" exit from the White House back in December after being fired by Chief of Staff John Kelly.

According to the Daily News, it’s unlikely Omarosa has any inside information that could be useful to Mueller’s investigation.
