Milford firefighters respond to van fire: VIDEO

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Milford fire officials say minor injuries were reported after a van caught fire Monday evening.

Firefighters were dispatched to a call for a white van on fire at 29 Meadowside Rd. around 6:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, the vehicle’s owner advised firefighters the van was carrying canisters of Acetylene and some refrigerants that may be off gassing.

The van’s driver was evaluated for minor injuries but declined transportation to a hospital for further treatment.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
