'1000-Lb Sisters’ Star Amy Slaton Arrested at Tennessee Zoo

Crockett County Sheriff's Department

Amy Slaton was arrested at a zoo in Tennessee on Labor Day, according to local police.

The 1000-Lb Sisters star was arrested on Monday, Sept. 2, at the Safari Park in Alamo after deputies were requested to respond to an incident where a guest was allegedly bitten by a camel. But upon arrival, "deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors" coming from another visitor's vehicle.

The 36-year-old was arrested for an "illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment," the Crockett County Sheriff's Department explained in a statement shared alongside a mugshot of the TLC personality.

Slaton's apparent passenger, Brian Scott Lovvorn, is also facing the same charges and the two were later booked at the Crockett County Jail.

Neither Slaton nor her older sister Tammy have publicly spoken about the reported incident, but given that the two are very sporadic about their social media use, that's no surprise.

The reality star's last public Instagram post before being taken into police custody was shared months ago, back in July, and celebrated her youngest son Glenn's second birthday. Above the montage of birthday party snaps was a banner that read, "Happy 2nd birthday, baby."

Still, some fans are pressing for more information, with the comments on a TikTok video she shared late last week, as well as her months-old IG upload, overwhelmed with replies addressing the news of her arrest.

"Omg AMY what is going on girl!!!" one recent reply exclaimed. "Just saw you oh mobile patrol in my town at the safari zoo!!! Wth."

Along with Glenn, the TLC personality shares 4-year-old son Gage with her ex-husband Michael Haltermann.

It’s currently unclear what drugs were allegedly in her possession at the time of the arrest or if both counts of child endangerment were related to the presence of her and Haltermann's two sons, as no additional details were immediately available.

Ironically enough, last August, Slaton's sister Tammy was reportedly pulled over for speeding in Kentucky and was then arrested for marijuana possession.
