15 Ohio Rite Aid stores closing amid bankruptcy. Find out where they are

First, there was Rite Aid filing for bankruptcy. Then the pharmacy chain closed hundreds of stores, including 35 locations in Ohio.

Now, another 15 Rite Aid stores in Ohio are set to close, according to WTOL.

Court filings revealed more of the drug store’s closings after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last October, a move that allows businesses to stay open while dealing with their debt and reevaluatin long-term contracts and leases. More than 200 Rite Aid stores worldwide have closed.

Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy to restructure and cope with losses and lawsuits related to opioids and intends to sell parts of its company.

Are all Rite Aid locations closing?

Not all of them. Rite Aid intends to close stores that are underperforming. Those remaining open will continue to fill prescriptions, and customers can still visit open locations or shop online as the bankruptcy processes continues.
