The 2024 presidential election is almost here, and with so much on the ballot this year, it’s time to make plans to vote. As Election Day—that’s Tuesday, November 5— approaches, we’ve rounded up the registration deadlines in all 50 states to make sure you’re ready to enter the voting booth (or send in your absentee ballot).
Each state has a different voter registration process and deadline. Some provide same-day voter registration, while other offer preregistration—which allows minors to register to vote so they can cast a ballot by the time they turn the eligible voting age.
