Amazing Transformation of Injured Stray White Cat To Adorable Cuddlebug Is Warming Hearts

Cats are not native to our environment, and the feral cat population in this country is only growing larger. It is currently thought that there could be as many as one hundred million feral cats in the country. This puts an enormous amount of pressure, not only on local wildlife like birds, reptiles, and woodland creatures that these predators prey on to survive, but also on state and private animal control organizations who are often faced with heartbreaking situations and overcrowded shelters.

This story, of George the sweet stray cat who finally found a soft place to land after a decade warms the heart, but please understand, he’s one in a million.

George is a senior white cat who was rescued by Jayden Hailey back in August. Toothless, flea-bitten, and so injured that even walking was difficult, the rescue organization told Hailey that he would probably not survive another month on the streets. They estimated that he’d been living feral for at least ten years, or half of Hailey’s life. But she could not help but fall in love with his sweet face and agreed to take him in as a foster, committing to giving this old boy a comfortable life with whatever little time he had left.

“The Glow Up of The Century”

And it turned out, what this adorable kitty needed was some tender loving care. Less than two months on, he looks like an entirely different cat. With his infections cleared up and his parasite issue managed, he’s turned into an adorable snowball who lives for cuddles and sleeping in comfortable places. His skin is clear, his fur is snow white and practically glowing, and the look of contentment and peace on his face is truly marvelous to behold.

What an amazing transformation.

In the comments, people marvel at how much the cat has altered, and praise Hailey for her work in bringing this change about.

Hailey is just enjoying her new role as cat mom. “He had such a beautiful soul and has so much love to give,” she explains.

How to Help Stray Cats

The best way to help stray cats, as a cat lover, is to adopt one out of the shelters. Barring that, consider fostering like Hailey is doing, or donating time, money and resources to these places and organizations.

Another vital piece of the puzzle is personal responsibility for pet cats. It’s vital to get your cat fixed so that they can’t have kittens. Spayed and neutered cats are less likely to attempt escape to satisfy their biological urges, and even if they do get out, they will not contribute to the feral cat population issue by creating more cats. Fifteen percent of cat owners report losing their cats for at least a brief time every year, and only seventy-five percent of those are ever returned.

Cats are happier when they have someone to care for them. Just look at George.
