Police confirmed one person died and another person was injured after a motorcycle crashed into a vehicle Tuesday morning in Amarillo.

Officers were sent to the scene of a major crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle at Soncy and West Amarillo Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a statement from Amarillo police.

Upon their arrival, officers found Andrew Spring, 28, was riding a white 2024 CF Moto sport motorcycle, traveling north on Soncy. At the same time, a 2022 Mazda 9 driven by a 68-year-old woman was heading south on Soncy and was making an eastbound turn onto West Amarillo Boulevard.
