GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Ashwaubenon Invite

ASHWAUBENON - NEW Lutheran finished with a 4-1 record to tie for third place at the tournament.

In pool play, the Blazers beat Hilbert 25-13, 25-17, beat Gibraltar 25-15, 25-13 and beat Ashwaubenon 22-25, 25-16, 15-10.

NEW Lutheran then beat Denmark 25-20, 25-23 in the quarterfinals before falling to eventual runner-up Wrightstown in the semifinals. The Tigers won 19-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Week 4 Appleton football recap: Week 4 high school football rewind: Kaukauna makes statement in physical win over Neenah

Abby Kirchner had 108 assists, 34 digs and 10 aces for NEW Lutheran. Emma Laatsch added 42 kills and 43 digs, Kiley Dhein had 24 kills and 48 digs, Lexie Meerstein had 23 kills and four blocks, and Sydney Steffel had 43 digs and five aces.

The Blazers’ overall record is 12-4.

Kettle Moraine Invite

WALES - Fox Valley Lutheran finished with a 5-1 record and took third place at the tournament.

In pool play, the Foxes had wins over Hortonville 25-16, 24-26, 17-15, Racine Lutheran 25-13, 25-12, Wauwatosa East 25-23, 25-14 and Kettle Moraine 25-23, 25-19.

FVL then beat Middleton 25-20, 25-22 before Brookfield Central beat the Foxes in the semifinals 25-21, 25-23.

Ava Patchett had 59 assists, seven aces and 34 digs for FVL. Molly Bixby had 58 assists, five aces and 23 digs. Riley Schmitz had 50 digs, nine aces and 10 assists, while Alaina Patchett had 26 kills, six blocks and six digs.

Other leaders for FVL were Sophia Wunderlich with 34 kills, Hannah Uhlenbrauck with 29 kills, Brianna Stewart with 10 kills and seven blocks, and Kenzie Loberger with 20 digs and nine aces.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran Classic

JACKSON - Xavier finished with a 3-2 record at the tournament.

The Hawks defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 25-12, 25-20, Kettle Moraine Lutheran 10-25, 25-17, 15-8 and Lakeside Lutheran 28-26, 25-22.

Waunakee beat Xavier 25-23, 23-25, 15-10 and Pewaukee beat the Hawks 25-22, 25-15.

Madison Daley had 50 kills, nine aces and three blocks for Xavier. Sydney Neilitz added 105 assists and nine aces, Ali Tylinski had 32 kills and four blocks, Grace Hackl had 58 digs, Rose Kendall had 17 kills and Lexi Allen had 12 kills. Jena Bunks and Lily Renz both added five aces.

Shawano Invite

SHAWANO - Oconto Falls took third place at the tournament.

Oconto Falls beat Pulaski 27-25, 25-10 and Oconto 25-20, 25-17. Shawano beat Oconto Falls 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

In the gold bracket, Manitowoc Lutheran beat Oconto Falls 25-20, 22-25, 15-13, then the Panthers beat Shawano 27-25, 25-23.

Amber Otto had 54 kills, 15 aces and 32 digs for the Panthers. Izzy Otto had 121 assists and 10 aces, Rylie Shallow had 46 digs and six aces, and Lucy Ripley had 51 kills.

Green Bay Preble 1, Beloit Memorial 1

GREEN BAY - Johnathan Mendez had a goal and Talan LeCapitaine picked up an assist for Preble in the tie.

Landin Gauthier made three saves in goal for Preble.

Ripon 3, Fox Valley Lutheran 0

RIPON - Carson Kaiser scored all three goals for the Tigers in the victory over the Foxes.

Seth Kastenschmidt had a pair of assists for Ripon.
