Aubrey Plaza Wore a Red-Hot Minidress with a Cape Overlay to the Time100 Gala
Aubrey Plaza brought all the spice and glamour to the Time100 Gala red carpet last night.
The White Lotus star attended the event in a look that was sexy, fun, and sophisticated all at once: a red minidress by Carolina Herrera. The silky mini featured a cape overlay, and hailed from the fashion house's fall/winter 2023 collection.
She styled the piece with black pumps and black hoop earrings. As for glam, the actress wore her hair in an elegant updo and wore inky-black eyeliner and a subtle pink lip.
Plaza was honored at the gala as one of Time's 100 most influential people, for her work in television over the years. She first rose to fame for her droll, sarcastic character in hit 2009 sitcom Parks and Recreation, and has since proven her versatility as an actor, taking on roles as a desperate student-turned-scam artist in Emily the Criminal, a writer with a dark side in Black Bear, and, most recently, as a young woman trying to fix her relationship in The White Lotus.
While at the gala, Plaza reunited with Parks and Recreation co-star and longtime friend Amy Poehler. The comedian was the one who wrote the Time statement celebrating Plaza's career and win as one of Time's 100 most influential people of 2023.
"Aubrey loves an outsider. She roots for the underdog. She befriends the misunderstood. She has learned the glorious freedom that comes from not wanting your approval. But don’t mistake that cool demeanor as ambivalence," Poehler wrote. "She cares deeply about her craft and her friends and has become one of the most interesting actors working today. Plus, she speaks Spanish and can hit a fastball."
