Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande among celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris

A celebrity endorsement gets attention, and politicians knows it.

After a drought of enthusiastic celebrity endorsements for President Joe Biden, whose Democratic Party is used to being favored by Hollywood, the party's new presumptive nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, has brought a tsunami of endorsements from the famed.

The Harris team can't keep up with incessant calls from many A-listers, a source close to Harris campaign said, CNN reported.

Here are some of the celebrities who have come forward to endorse Harris:

  • Ariana Grande: Soon after Biden posted his endorsement of Harris, Ariana Grande reshared it on her Instagram story.

  • Beyoncé: Known for her tight control of her music rights, superstar Beyoncé granted a quick approval for Harris team to use her song "Freedom" throughout the presidential campaign, CNN reported.

  • Mark Hamill: “I want to offer my full support & endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year,” the "Star Wars" star tweeted.

  • Cardi B: Before Biden's withdrawal, Cardi B, an outspoken Harris supporter, had said that it was selfish of Biden to continue to run for president. "They should've passed the torch to Kamala," she said in a livestream. Following the Biden's withdrawal, the rapper posted on her Instagram: “STOP PLAYING WIT ME!!!! been told y’all Kamala should’ve been the 2024 candidate. Y’all be trying to play the Bronx education, baby this what I do!!!”

  • Barbara Streisand: A day after the announcement, Streisand tweeted that "Kamala Harris will continue Joe Biden’s work and will be a great president."

  • John Legend: “She’s ready for this fight and I’m excited to help her in any way I can,” the singer wrote on Instagram following Biden's withdrawal.

  • Jessica Alba: On her Instagram account, the actress posted numerous pictures of Harris and captioned them with: "I’ve been riding with you for a hot minute — excited for you to make history @kamalaharris Let’s gooooo!"

  • Katy Perry: She reshared a video of Harris, the first female vice president, with her new song, "Woman's World" playing in the background.

  • Spike Lee: “Once again a sista comes to da rescue,” the director wrote on his Instagram account, which now boasts a few posts praising the vice president.

  • George Clooney: After publishing an op-ed in The New York Times on July 10 calling for Biden to step down, Clooney endorsed Harris. “We’re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest,” he said.

  • Octavia Spencer: The day Biden announced to be stepping down the race, Spencer wrote on her Instagram account that “The time from handwringing and teeth gnashing is over!” she wrote. “We must save ourselves! DEMOCRATS…ASSEMBLE!.” The actress accompanied the post with hashtags #Harris2024, #SayItWithYourFullChest, and #ImWithHer.

  • Jamie Lee Curtis: Following Biden's announcement, the "Freaky Friday" star praised Harris on her Instagram account, posting multiple pictures of Harris and describing her as a "fierce advocate for women's rights and people of color."

  • Charli XCX: As soon as the announcement was made Sunday, the British pop star didn't wait to express her support for Harris, saying "Kamala is a brat," — high praise for the singer, whose recent album was called "brat." Harris's @KamalaHQ" X account was then mocked up to resemble the Charli XCX album cover.

  • Demi Lovato: On her Instagram story, Lovato reposted Biden's endorsement right before sharing a picture of her with Harris. "Let's do this!!" Lovato wrote.

  • Lil Nas X: "Ur seat is ready madam president," Lil Nas X tweeted.
