Bridget Jones 4 has shared an exciting filming update with fans.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy has officially finished shooting, with the film's production company Working Title taking to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the milestone.

"That's a wrap. See you on Valentine’s Day," reads the photo caption, reminding audiences of the film's release date next year.

The image shows two camera screens alongside a chair with 'Bridget Jones' written on the back, with The Globe pub in London's Borough Market spotted in the background.

Fans of the first three films will know that the pub serves as the exterior for Bridget's apartment - and the photo certainly suggests we'll be seeing her faithful flat again in the upcoming movie.

The fourth Bridget Jones film is based on Helen Fielding's book of the same name released back in 2013. Renée Zellweger reprises her iconic rom-com role, with Hugh Grant back as Daniel Cleaver after being notably missing from the third film Bridget Jones's Baby.

Sadly, Colin Firth will not be re-appearing as Mark Darcy in the next outing, based on the storyline of Fielding's book.

Nevertheless, fans can expect to see the familiar faces of Gemma Jones and Jim Broadbent as Bridget's parents, plus actors Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson and James Callis back as longstanding friends Sharon, Jude and Tom.

Additional returning cast members include Emma Thompson (aka Doctor Rawlings) and Bridget's work friend Miranda (Sarah Solemani) who both starred in the third film.

The fourth instalment will also welcome a number of new stars to the cast including Doctor Strange's Chiwetel Ejiofor and One Day's Leo Woodall, plus The Last of Us' Nico Parker and I Hate Suzie's Leila Farzad.

Filming on Bridget Jones 4 began in May of this year, with Zellweger spotted filming on location in London's Hampstead Heath and Haverstock Hill.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
