Colin From Accounts season 2's UK premiere date has finally been confirmed, and fans don't have long to wait to see it back on the BBC.

The second run of the Australian comedy started airing Down Under back in May, and now it's been announced that it will kick off on BBC Two on Tuesday, September 3.

As is often the fashion nowadays, the entire second season will also be available as a boxset on BBC iPlayer from that very same day. Just like season 1, there's eight episodes of about 30 minutes, so you could easily binge through them all in a day if you're so inclined.

To whet your appetite, the BBC has also released a new trailer. It's pretty short, but we get more of Colin and the dog looking cute, a brief glimpse of the always-comical and awkwardly-relatable 'meet the parents' scenario, and a not-hugely-enthusiastic "yes" from Ashley when Gordon asks if they're doing okay. You could cut the tension with a boomerang.

The show's creators, lead actors, and real-life couple Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer said in a statement ahead of season 2's Aussie premiere: "Season 1 went better than expected, so here's hoping we don't mess this one up.

"We are thrilled to be back playing Ashley and Gordon running amok in the streets of Sydney. We are just sad we had to leave our actual dog in America. Doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the show, but here we are."

Don't worry, US fans, you won't have too long to wait either. The show is set to return on streaming service Paramount+ on September 26.

Colin From Accounts season 2 premieres on BBC Two, and will be available in full on iPlayer, on September 3.
