Cunningham Memorial Scholarship fundraiser set for Wednesday in Massillon

MASSILLON – The 17th annual Amanda J. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship fundraiser is slated from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings, 235 Lincoln Way W.

The event raises up to $1,000 for a four-year Washington High School band member who’s going to college this fall.

Cunningham was a four-year member of the WHS band, who played bassoon, trumpet and mellophone. She died in a car crash on May 3, 2003.

Fifteen percent of all food and nonalcoholic beverage purchases during the time of the event go toward the scholarship fund.
