This Custom Ford F-250 Is The Next Best Thing to a Super Duty Raptor
North Carolina-based MegaRexx Trucks, in case you're unfamiliar with them, is a vehicle up-fitter. In essence, it takes a stock vehicle — normally, one of Ford's Super Duty pickup trucks — adds all of the coolest stuff you never thought you needed (and you probably don't, in reality), and then sells it as a complete package. In this case, the result of all that work is a MegaRexx MegaRaptor: a Ford F-250 Super Duty that's all about Baja off-road fun in the same way its smaller sibling, the F-150 Raptor, is.
The best part? If the idea of a plus-sized Raptor tickles your fancy, you don't have to wait for MegaRexx to build you one; it could be yours in just a few days' time.
In order to fulfill its mission,it packs a 4.5-inch lift kit, larger brakes, a Smasher front bumper, Fox shocks, and 46.7-inch Michelin off-road tires. The future owner will want to be careful with how they use the 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque on tap; however; the tires in question, Michelin XZLs, have a maximum speed rating of just 55 mph. They're great for going off-road, but we'll admit it would be hard to keep speeds beneath that on public streets.
MegaRexx's changes to this particular build seem to be limited to the exterior, however. The dash, seats, steering wheel, and everything else appear to be exactly the same as one would find in any other 2022 F-250. That said, the stock cabin isn't exactly spartan. The buyer will still enjoy leather upholstery, a 12-inch infotainment system, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Interested potential buyers can check out the auction here at Cars & Bids. As of this story's publication on September 5, it's up to a high bid of $55,000. Looking at historical sales data from Bring A Trailer, however, it would appear as though this big rig could easily crest the six-figure mark before the bidding war is over. (For context, a new MegaRexx Lariat Ultimate Tremor trim is currently listed on the brand's site for just under $180,000.)
As examples go, this one appears quite nice, with fewer than 3,000 miles on the odometer and basically no major blemishes. We say, if you like it, snap it up — and be sure to treat it to the off-road life it was meant for.
