Cyclist critically injured in ambulance crash

A cyclist has been critically injured in a collision with an ambulance.

The South Central Ambulance Service crew were responding to an emergency on blue lights when their vehicle was involved in the collision on Woodstock Road in Oxford, near the junction with Blandford Road, at about 11:00 BST on Sunday.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
