It looks to be that Anna Sorokin, more famously known as Anna Delvey, is trading in her prison orange jumpsuit for silk, satin and sequins when she joins the Season 33 cast of Dancing with the Stars.

The New York City-based Russian fake heiress and con artist, who was convicted of grand larceny in 2019 and went to prison until her release under house arrest in 2021, is currently in Los Angeles, having been granted special permission to travel to participate on the hit ABC competition show, according to Page Six.

ABC has yet to confirm her participation.

Delvey came to attention when she was jailed in 2019 after conning more than $250,000 from banks, financial institutions and her wealthy friends in hopes of launching a member's only club. Delvey was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison, fined $24,000, and ordered to pay restitution to her victims.

"The thing is, I’m not sorry," she told the New York Times a day after her sentencing. "I’d be lying to you and to everyone else and to myself if I said I was sorry for anything. I regret the way I went about certain things."

The Netflix show Inventing Anna, starring Julia Garner, was based on her life.

Since her release from prison Feb. 11, 2021 for good behavior, Delvey has fought extradition and so far, has been successful. While still under house arrest, she has been allowed to work, which includes producing a runway show, hosting the podcast The Anna Delvey Show, and releasing her debut single "What the Hell?" with TikTok star Brooke Butler.

In August, Delvey was also given permission to return to social media and she currently posts as @theAnnaDelvey on Instagram.

"I’m grateful and thrilled to be able to control my own narrative once again on social media," she told the New York Post.

Dancing with the Stars will be returning to ABC and Disney+ on Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
