Demi Lovato Introduces New Addition to Family

Demi Lovato made a major announcement about their family earlier this week: The 31-year-old singer and their fiancé, Jordan Lutes, have welcomed a new addition to their home—and he's covered in fur!

Lovato posted a photo of an adorable brown-and-white puppy on Instagram with the caption: "Meet our new son Pickle."

Lutes also shared a photo of Pickle to his Instagram story showing the pup asleep next to his foot, writing, "Quick power nap on my foot."

Though he wasn't formally introduced at the time, Pickle actually made his first appearance on Lovato's Instagram a week before as the last slide in a photo dump featuring the star's new hair color.

Lovato is known for her love of dogs. In 2015, the singer and their then-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama mourned the sudden loss of their dog Buddy, who was killed by coyotes.

“We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday," Lovato posted on X (then Twitter) when the incident occurred.

"He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong."

As Parade previously reported, Lovato and Jutes were engaged in December 2023 after dating for just over a year. Known professionally as Jute$, Lovato's fiancé is a songwriter and rapper from Canada; the couple worked together on the single "Substance," which came out last year. Lute's album Ladybug was released in early 2023.
