Des Moines McDonalds now carry the limited-edition collector's cups. What comes with them?

Listen up adults: Happy Meals are no longer just for children. McDonald's is taking you back to your childhood and bringing back the limited-edition collectible cups inspired by the ones you may remember getting in a kid's meal.

The adult Happy Meal, formally known as the Collector's Meal, launched Tuesday at McDonald's across the United States. When you order the meal you can get one of six unique cups.

When will McDonald’s Collector’s Meals be available?

McDonald’s Collector’s Meals and the six collectible cups became available at participating U.S. locations on Tuesday, Aug. 13. They're available online, in stores and at the drive-thru.

What do the McDonald's Collector's cups look like?

McDonald's is releasing six new collectible cups, available with the purchase of a Collector's Meal, starting Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024. Cup characters and brands include Shrek, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Hello Kitty and Jurassic Park.

Multiple brands inspire the cups including Coca-Cola, Mattel, Universal Sanrio or TY Beanie Babies.

The cup designs include:

  • Shrek, Jurassic Park & Minions

What does McDonald’s Collector’s Meal come with?

McDonald's is tapping into the nostalgia of keepsakes, offering customers the ability to receive one of six collectible cups with the purchase of a new combo meal starting Tuesday, Aug. 13.

If you happen to go to McDonald's during breakfast hours, you can get your Collector’s Meal with Sausage McMuffin, hash brown and a hot coffee.

A Collector’s Meal ordered during lunch gives you more options, with customers being able to choose from a 10-piece McNuggets or Big Mac, along with fries and a drink. The McNuggets meal is $11.79 and the Big Mac is $11.89 at Iowa locations.

The Collector’s Meal is set to be available all day, which means that “you can add to your collection whenever the mood strikes,” McDonald’s said.

Where can I find a McDonald's collectible cup in Des Moines?

The majority of McDonald's in the Des Moines metro should carry the Collector's Meal that offers the limit-edition cup with every purchase. The supply of cups could vary depending on the store.
