'Wicked' Fans Think This Actress Made a Film CameoUniversal

It's hard to believe Wicked is finally hitting movie theaters this November, with an incredible cast portraying the iconic characters featured on Broadway. Well, it looks like one actress from the Great White Way may have returned to Oz, as fans think they spotted her in a way they didn't see coming.

Ahead of Wicked Part 1 debuting on November 22, the studio shared a featurette about what it was like making the movie. As people watched Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande discuss the power of friendship between their characters Elphaba and Galinda, they also watched Jonathan Bailey (who plays Fiyero), director John M. Chu and others share their thoughts on the duo's budding camaraderie. What's more, they also saw behind-the-scenes clips of the film being made, including when Elphaba and Galinda make their way to the Emerald City.

"We’re just two friends. Two good friends. Two best friends. 💚💖," read the official caption for the clip on YouTube, referencing lyrics to the song "One Short Day" from the 2003 musical the movie is based on.

While fans of the book series and musical were ecstatic about seeing this look at making the Wicked movie, some eagle-eyed fans noticed something that caused a flurry of excitement.

During one segment of the clip, many claim to have spotted none other than Kristin Chenoweth (who originated the role of Galinda on Broadway) standing near Ariana and dressed up as one of the citizens in the Emerald City.

"ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT KRISTIN CHENOWETH BEING IN THE BACK IN THE VIDEO?!!" one person screamed in the YouTube comments. "Am I seeing what I think I am seeing? 👀," another inferred. "1:53 - Kristin Chenoweth in the crowd beside Ari!!!" a different follower added.

While it's yet to be confirmed whether Kristin actually is in the Wicked film, her presence would surely be an extraordinary Broadway Easter egg. And given how the director's previous musical movie In the Heights also featured a number of Broadway references in it, Kristin's cameo wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it ends up being true.

Either way, the future is unlimited when it comes to all things Wicked!
