Summer is in full swing. However, it's also getting closer to schools reopening across the Wilmington area.

Here's when schools are starting in your area.

New Hanover County Schools

Traditional schools

First day will be Tuesday, Aug. 27. Staggered enrollment will be Aug. 27-29.

Isaac Bear Early College High School

The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Wilmington Early College High School

The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Southeast Area Technical High School

The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The Hill School of Wilmington

The first day will be Thursday, Aug. 15.

Pre-K traditional school

Home visits will be Aug. 28-30. Staggered enrollment is Sept. 3-5. First day of school is Friday, Sept. 6.

Pre-K restart

Home visits will be Friday, Aug. 2, Monday, Aug. 5, Tuesday, Aug. 6. Staggered enrollment is Aug. 7-9. The first day of school begins Monday, Aug. 12.

Year-round schools

Snipes Academy of Arts and Design first day will be Thursday, Aug. 1. Staggered enrollment will be Aug. 1-2.

Rachel Freeman School of Engineering first day will be Thursday, Aug. 1. Kindergarten staggered enrollment will be Aug. 1-2. Open house will be Tuesday, July 30 from 4-6 p.m.

Brunswick County Schools

Traditional schools

The first day for traditional schools will be Monday. Aug. 26. All open houses will be held from 4-7 p.m. ― High schools on Tuesday, Aug. 20; Middle schools on Wednesday, Aug. 21 and elementary schools on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Brunswick County Early College High School

The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 6 and open house on Monday, Aug. 5 from 4-7 p.m.

Pender County Schools

Penderlea School

First day of school will be Monday, July 15.

Pender Early College

The first day of school will be Monday, Aug. 5. Open house will be held Thursday, Aug. 1 from 3-7 p.m.

Traditional schools

Traditional students first day of school will be Monday, Aug. 26. Open house will held Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 4-6 p.m. for middle school students. Elementary students open house will be on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 4-6 p.m. Open house for high school students will be Thursday, Aug. 22 from 4-7 p.m.
