Former president Donald Trump is still expected to speak at the 2024 Republican National Convention this week, just days after surviving an assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania rally.
During night No. 1 of the RNC, Trump announced his 2024 vice-presidential running mate would be Middletown native J.D. Vance, who lives in the East Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati. Trump and Vance are expected to formally accept their party's nominations during the convention, which takes place July 15-18.
