A longtime Wilmington bed and breakfast was again voted one of the best in the nation as part of the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.

The C. W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast at 412 S. Third St. in downtown Wilmington finished in fourth place in the voting, announced Aug. 14. The Wilmington inn took home first place in last year's competition.

The historic, Queen Anne-style home dates to 1893 and has been a bed and breakfast since 1985, which makes it the longest-serving B&B in Wilmington.

The house is currently for sale for $2.4 million, according to a listing on Zillow by Intracoastal Realty. The 6,290-square-foot home has eight bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms and sits on an approximately 0.3-acre lot.

According to New Hanover County property records, it was last sold in 2022 for $1.045 million. Its owner is listed as Blue Twilight Inc.

According the C.W. Worth House website, guest amenities include a home-cooked gourmet breakfast, complimentary wine hour, bedrooms with Smart TVs and wine fridges, a fire pit and a game room.

USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards invites the public to vote for their favorites in a wide range of categories, from best pumpkin patch to best hotel spa. The 20 nominees in the bed and breakfast category were selected by a panel of travel experts.

The Winchester Inn in Ashland, Oregon, topped the list. Wilmington was one of two North Carolina cities with entries, joining The Historic Magnolia House of Greensboro, which finished sixth.
