Dua Lipa Is the Ultimate Rock Star in Three Black Leather Looks at the Brit Awards 2024

From model to singer to dancer to actor to fashion icon, Dua Lipa truly inspires. Her dance break during her performance of “Houdini” at the 2024 Grammy awards alone has taken over the internet, garnering thousands of recreation videos. And, last night, at The BRIT Awards 2024, she made a mesmerizing appearance once again.
Although background dancers suspended in the air might be harder to imitate this time around (which was part of the choreography for her performance of “Training Season”), Lipa gave us a lot to aspire to—starting with beefing up our wardrobes with more rockstar attire.
From the moment she graced the red carpet to both times she ascended the stage, Lipa unofficially declared she is in her edgy era with three monochromatic black looks. The “Levitating” songstress made a bang the second she touched down in London’s O2 arena, looking like a vixen in a hot Versace gown, pulled from the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection. The black leather centerpiece featured structured cups, a sharp plunging V-neckline, wide angled straps that emerged from the center of her bust, a figure-hugging construction along the bodice and hips, and a flowy pleated skirt that pooled around her feet in a circular train, completely hiding her footwear. She accessorized with chunky silver jewelry in the form of a shiny cuff bracelet and a chain choker necklace, both from Tiffany & Co. Lipa went equally dramatic for her glam with a silver smoky eye, dark winged eyeliner, a rusty-red lip, and a wine-red manicure, while wearing her signature fiery tresses down in a middle part.
Shortly after, she commanded the audience for an electric performance, and she dressed the part. The ensemble was daring, sultry, and powerful, consisting of tight black leather hot shorts with a lace-up fly, a matching cropped jacket that she wore open to reveal a black bra, and tall lace-up boots with a chunky block heel. She added layers of silver chain necklaces and glittery rings, while keeping her beauty the same.
Next, looking like the winner she is, Lipa collected her seventh BRIT Award, the honor for Pop Act, in a third all-black look. Her final fashion act at the ceremony had a touch of Western flair, as she donned a strapless black leather corset top tucked into matching straight-leg pants with silver-studded embellishments on each thigh, which she cinched at the waist with a black belt with a large bedazzled oval buckle. She finished things off with black pointed-toe boots, the same cuff bracelet and chunky chains, and—for an office siren touch—narrow black-frame glasses. She kept her makeup consistent, but slicked her hair back into a sleek, side-parted bun. Lipa was also up for Artist of the Year (which went to RAYE) and Song of the Year with “Dance the Night” (which went to RAYE for “Escapism).
To attend the after-party, Lipa diverted from her dark theme for something red-hot. The pop culture icon sizzled in a tiny slightly-sheer corset minidress over transparent black tights, paired with glossy red slingback heels with a pointed-toe design and a rustic maroon leather motorcycle jacket with decorative cherry-red stripes.
