Emmerdale star admits problem with Mack's deadly bull scenes

Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has admitted there was a problem while filming his character Mackenzie Boyd's bull scenes.
In scenes airing on the ITV soap next week, Mack finds himself in some trouble when his exit from the barn is blocked by a bull.
After psyching himself up and trying to make a swift exit to safety, the bull charges at Mack and Nate finds him collapsed on the floor.

While discussing the scenes, Robb admitted that getting the bull to act accordingly was a tough feat given its surprisingly "placid" nature.
"Bulls by proxy are pretty dangerous. The bull that we were working with was difficult, to say the least! When I say difficult, it was the most placid and least dangerous bull in the world!" he said
"We had to get it to run down a very narrow corridor and it gently sauntered. I'm looking forward to seeing this because we couldn't get it to run!"

The soap star added: "It's going to be lots of very tight cuts of just the bull's face, with random bull noises and me running away from it while it's gently sauntering down the corridor.
"That was a huge variable and there wasn't really much we could do about it. He was just a big, giant teddy bear. He was so not bothered. It was very, very funny to work with."
Explaining the moment Mack makes a run for it, Robb continued: "That's all editing! That's the magic of television. Like I say, I've not seen it yet. But what actually happened was me running down a narrow corridor with nothing behind me, emulating the fact that the bull was chasing me.
"We did that first and then we did the bull scenes. I was like: 'My run doesn't really make sense now, does it?!' Hopefully you'll be able to see the behind-the-scenes stuff because it was so chilled."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
