An encouraging Miami Dolphins Terron Armstead rotator cuff update

MIAMI GARDENS ‒ Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead said he expects to play Sunday, despite a shoulder injury.

Armstead said he’ll wear a brace to assist a rotator cuff issue.

How did Thursday’s practice go?

”Solid,” Armstead said.

Kendall Lamm relieved Armstead during the recent loss to Buffalo.

“Yeah, I tried to go back in, I couldn't lift my arm up enough to be effective to protect the quarterback so it just wouldn't have been smart to try to keep going and play with one arm so ultimately I had to come out,” Armstead said.

Quarterback Skylar Thompson could really use a Pro Bowl talent like Armstead protecting his blind side in a loud environment at Seattle Sunday.

Armstead believes Miami’s offensive line can perform better overall than it has in the first two weeks.

“A little too inconsistent for us and our standard or our liking,” Armstead said. “We've done a lot of things really well. In the run game we've had some some really nice blocks, really nice combinations. That doesn’t guarantee success, but things that we've controlled, we've done well. Pass pro, it's been solid, but we've had some some pressures and some losses at inopportune times, so definitely want to keep cleaning that up. Overall it's been solid, but we're not trying to be solid.”

Armstead is looking forward to the stadium environment in Seattle.

“Yeah, I mean, I was there against the Super Bowl team, second round of the playoffs,” Armstead recalled. “It was electric. It was incredible. Probably the loudest environment I had ever been in, maybe still to this day.

“It was crazy. We had, Sean Payton gave us these custom earplugs, so you couldn't hear nothing. You couldn't, so in the huddle, you had to read Drew Bree’s’ lips and then everything else was completely silent. Come off on the sideline and then take them out. When their offense is on the field, you can talk and make adjustments. But when we go back in, we had earpieces. It actually helped, which was crazy. So yes, it's a great place to be.”
