Erie County's top performing varsity athletes for Sept. 22-28

The Erie Times-News highlights the top performances achieved by Erie County's varsity athletes for the week of Sept. 22-28.

As a bonus, football and cross country results submitted after the Sept. 21 deadline for last week's list also are included.

The county's athletes are:

Football

Ethen Ringer, North East: He recorded three touchdowns amid weather delays during the Grapepickers' 38-7 victory at Franklin.

Girls cross country

Lauren Dever, McDowell: Her fourth-place time of 19 minutes, 7.5 seconds highlighted the Trojans' first-place finish in the team standings for the Adidas XC Challenge, held at Cary, North Carolina.
